Seven Words

Easter Friday classic and a monumental masterpiece—Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour on the Cross will be performed in an especially moving interpretation by the Guts! String Quartet, specializing in early music. The liberated sound of traditional gut strings and a tuning pitch lower than modern standards make the music resonate deep within the soul. The whole experience is enhanced and enriched by the instrumental interludes of recorder virtuoso Juho Myllylä.
